Our Ductless Fume Hoods (DCH) protect operators from unknown contaminants while they examine evidence and samples. A powerful fan draws fumes and particulates away from the operator and into a customizable set of filter types, preventing the unknown substances and odors from spreading to the broader work area. Our hoods are dimensioned to fit your operation. They fit on typical work counters and, because they can be ordered in standard widths up to 70 inches, specialized instruments and tools can be placed within the protective environment. Our smallest DCH, under 20 inches in height, can be readily utilized in specialty vehicles set up for forensic processing at crime scenes.

Sentry Air’s Portable Clean Rooms (PCR) provide a positive-pressure, ISO Class 5 clean room for applications that require a sterile work space. Air is filtered before it enters the hood, protecting samples from contamination. In digital forensic applications that involve opening computerized devices, our PCRs prevent damaging dust contamination of memory and data storage mechanisms. To maintain the hood’s cleanliness, an optional UV lamp aids the cleaning and sterilization process. The smallest units are portable, light-weight and require minimum space in existing lab layouts. Larger units rest securely on most standard countertops; the purchase of a special stand is not required. Our PCRs are constructed of materials that resist most solvents and chemicals. The range of available sizes ensures adequate interior space for the tools necessary for extracting samples and examining evidence in an uncontaminated workspace.

When you need a large work area to examine items potentially contaminated with unknown substances, a Sentry Air Industrial Downdraft Bench offers respiratory protection to analysts and their work environment. A powerful fan draws air through a perforated stainless steel bench top into filters that capture sprays, powders, and fumes before they can spread throughout the lab. Our bench comes in two widths, provides electrical outlets for tools, and can be optioned with an air volume of 700 to 950 CFM (cubic feet per minute).

Both 30-inch wide and 40-inch wide downdraft benches are available.
